EVIDENCE FOR THE EXCHANGE ORIGIN OF THE MAGNON GAP IN THE GARNET CA3FE2GE3O12

摘要
The two acoustic magnon branches exhibit each an energy gap at the Brillouin zone center. The higher one is predicted to arise from a coupling of the antiferromagnetic subsystems due to the zero-point spin fluctuations. The temperature dependence of the gap frequency supports this hypothesis.
