摘要
Silica spheres of diameter 3 μm have been successfully dispersed by treating their surfaces with dichlorodimethylsilane, such that they become hydrophobic, and by mixing the particles with large glass beads in a fluidized bed. Comparison of electron microscopy and light scattering confirms that the particles are well dispersed and of narrow size distribution. They are suitable for tests on particle sizing instruments. © 1990.
