摘要：
ABSTRACT: The organization and use of the birth room at Roosevelt Hospital are described, along with the results of the first 124 births there. All but 5 births were attended by midwives. After admittance to the regular obstetric area, and transfer to the birth room at 5–8 cm dilation, 5 women were transferred back to the labor room for various procedures. Of those transferred, there was 1 cesarean, 1 forceps delivery. All mothers and babies had normal postpartum courses. Copyright © 1979, Wiley Blackwell. All rights reserved
