摘要
Metal L(III)-edge extended X-ray absorption fine structure data have been collected for WF6, ReF6, OsF6, IrF6 and PtF6 as solids at 10 K, and refined to give M-F bond lengths which lie in the range 1.81-1.83 angstrom. Similar data have been obtained for the related hexafluoroanions K2[MF6] and K[MF6] (M = Os, Ir or Pt) as powdered solids at room temperature, which give M-F bond lengths of 1.92-1.93 and 1.88-1.91 angstrom respectively.
