NMR-STUDY OF FLUORIDE-ION AND PROTON MOTION IN N2H5SN3F7

摘要
Measurements of relaxation times of the nuclear spin of protons and fluoride ions in N2H5Sn3F7 as a function of temperature have revealed three kinds of motions: (1) a rotation of the protons of the NH3 group which is predominant below 180 K; (2) a motion that has been assigned to the NH2 part of the N2H5+ ion. This motion dominates the relaxation from 180 to 250 K; (3) a translation of the fluoride ions in the Sn3F7 layers, detected from 250 K to 386 K, domain where the compound is a F- conductor (sigma(360 K) = 10(-4) OMEGA-1 cm-1). The activation energy measured by NMR and complex impedance are in complete agreement (0.56 eV). Similar relaxation time measurements have been performed on N2H5Sn3F7 in vitreous state.
