ADDITIONAL PLIOCENE BATHYAL MOLLUSCA FROM SOUTH WAIRARAPA, NEW ZEALAND

Four Waitotaran bathyal molluscan faunas are listed, from localities at Palliser Bay and south-east of Martinborough. Additions to the list of species from the Lake Ferry coral thicket are made. Scaphander flemingi Marwick, Parvamussium aff. maorium Dell, Retusa oruaensis (Webster), Euthrenopsis venusta Powell, Friginatica amphiala (Watson), and Poroleda lanceolata (Hutton) are recorded from the beds, and Tropbon murdochi Marwick is recorded and placed in Terefundus. New species of Limopsis, Conominolia, and Mioawateria are described, and the status of Pelicaria mangaoparia Vella is discussed. Austrofusus incertus King is placed in Benthindsia Iredale, and Mioawateria is classed as a full genus of the Daphnellinae. © Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
