NONRADIATIVE TRIPLET-TO-GROUND-STATE TRANSITIONS IN DIAZAPHENANTHRENES

摘要
The lifetimes of T1(ππ*)→S0 phosphorescence in several representative DAPs in methanol/ethanol glasses at 77 K have been measured. The theory of radiationless transition, based on a combined spin-orbit and vibronic interaction and a multidimessional vibrational analysis, was applied to the interpretation of the experimental results. A comparison of experimental and calculated nonradiative decay rates suggests that the interaction betweenn higher-lying nπ* triplet sublevels and the lowest excited ππ* triplet state s weak. © 1990.
