ESTIMATION OF DIFFUSE SOLAR IRRADIANCE ON A HORIZONTAL SURFACE FOR CLOUDLESS DAYS - A NEW APPROACH

摘要
From the hourly values of the global solar irradiance measured on a horizontal surface, we review several methods of estimating the diffuse solar irradiance in urban zones on cloudless days and we propose a new method which takes the atmospheric turbidity into account. For each interval of relative air mass three relationships are proposed, depending on the value interval of the aerosol attenuation index. Hence, the appropriate equation is selected according to the synoptic situation over the station. The method was checked by using measurements taken in Barcelona and Roquetes (Spain) during the years 1972 to 1979 and 1987. respectively.
