摘要
In some fields, produced water is saturated with gyp (calcium sulfate) that precipitates in pores of reservoir formation sand near wellbore; in past, chemical scale inhibitors were pumped down annulus to prevent gyp scale deposition on rods and tubing; however, gyp precipitation in formation and resultant productivity reduction were not prevented; to effectively prevent gyp from precipitating in reservoir formation, inhibitor must be present within pores of formation rock; two chemicals have been field- tested; repeated treatments have successfully prevented gyp deposition in formation for more than 30 mo.
