摘要
Two new general classes of invariant transformations for the hodograph equations are introduced, which include as special instances the mappings due to Pérès and Dombrobskii respectively. Moreover, new associated transformations are obtained in both cases. The transformations are of the Bäcklund type discussed by Loewner (which may be shown to generate the important reciprocal and adjoint relations with a suitable specialisation of the matrices involved). The hodograph equations may be reduced to appropriate canonical forms in the subsonic, transonic and supersonic regions by means of these mappings. Copyright © 1969 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
