DEPENDENCE OF GLASS-TRANSITION TEMPERATURE ON CHAIN FLEXIBILITY AND INTERMOLECULAR INTERACTIONS IN POLYMERS

摘要
The glass transition temperature of bulk polymer is accessible by various computational schemes. This note reports new correlations between glass transition temperature and other chain parameters. It is shown that it is realted to the Characteristic ratio and the intensive variable by simple power laws. A total of 42 polymers have been examined and classified into two major groups, according to the strength of the intermolecular attractions.
