DEPENDENCE OF THE PHASE OF THE GDALO3-CR-3+ NONLINEAR REFRACTIVE-INDEX ON THE LIGHT-INTENSITY

摘要
The phase of the complex nonlinear refractive index of GdAlO3:Cr3+ has been measured as a function of the light intensity at 514.5 and 488 nm by means of the transient two-wave-mixing technique. The dependence of the phase on the intensity is attributed to a photon-assisted off-resonance energy transfer between Cr3+ at neighboring positions.
