摘要
The Blushing Propensity Scale (BPS), Bodily Sensations Questionnaire (BSQ), Anxiety Sensitivity Index (ASI) and the Social Avoidance and Distress Scale (SADS) were administered to 82 subjects. Although there was some degree of overlap between the factor structure of the BPS obtained in the present study with factors obtained in previous research, the items within each factor suggest a slightly different meaning in each study. There was a predicted significant positive correlation between the BPS, BSQ, ASI and SADS although the latter three measures were unrelated. The possibility that a tendency to feel oneself blushing does not directly correspond to a fear of blushing which might characterize social phobia is discussed.
