摘要
In rats given daily injections of 20 μg triiodothyronine for ten days, the oxygen affinity of the blood decreased significantly by 4 mm Hg and the metabolic rate increased by about 75%. Ten days after triiodothyronine treatment was discontinued, the oxygen affinity had increased by 4 mm Hg. The oxygen affinity of normal rat blood incubated with triiodothyronine also decreased significantly, showing that triiodothyronine acted directly. The importance and causes of the oxygen affinity changes are discussed. © 1968.
