摘要
Two patients illustrating abnormalities encountered in obstetrics and gynecology resulting in part from defective connective tissue are described. Postpartum hemorrhage, varicosities, prematurity, abortion, wound dehiscence, defective cesarean section scars, recurrent pelvic floor relaxations, friable tissues, and cerebral hemorrhage all may be due in part to connective tissue disturbances. The diagnosis of heritable connective tissue disorders is largely clinical, and obstetricians and gynecologists should suspect the possibility where there is a personal or family history of hyperextensible joints, fractures, hemorrhagic tendency, cigarette paper scars, and hernias. Coagulation defects and physical-chemical alterations in connective tissue are responsible for the clinical manifestations. © 1968.
