EFFECTS OF NON-LINEAR DECAY OF BACKSCATTERED LIGHT ON THE ANOMALOUS REFLECTIVITY

摘要
The authors consider anomalous reflectivity in a homogeneous bounded plasma. In addition to the pump wave depletion, the included secondary nonlinear decay of the backscattered light limits the reflectivity to approximately 62% at high pump intensities. The maximum reflectivity is <or approximately=80% and occurs at 7-9 times the instability threshold depending on the electrostatic noise level.
