摘要
Due to the specific advantages of using vacuum as a device medium, there has been a rebirth of interest in triode-like vacuum microelectronics utilizing advanced IC technology. We have studied a field-emitter-array diode which has potential applications in flat screen display and novel microsensors. Some new results on the analysis of cone-shape field emitter arrays for diode design are presented. The effects of the variations in device geometry on potential distribution, electric field, and emission current are discussed. © 1990 IEEE
