摘要
Band-structure effects in atomic beam scattering were studied for the He4-LiF system. Qualitative results for several cases are presented along with quantitative results for the splittings of ground-state and first-excited-state resonances by the (0,1) and (1,1) Fourier components of the potential. The matrix elements of V01 and V11 are compared with those calculated from pairwise sum potentials. The pairwise sum potentials are found to overestimate the strength of V11 compared with V01. © 1979 The American Physical Society.
