POINT OF VIEW IN RHETORICAL SITUATIONS - CLASSICAL AND ROMANTIC CONTRASTS AND CONTEMPORARY IMPLICATIONS

Three perspectives on rhetorical situations are discussed and general relationships are drawn among these perspectives, assumptions of social interaction, and competing perceptions of language function.
