摘要
Simulation is a vital tool for assisting organizations as they strive to convert to just-in-time (JIT) methods. Modelling is often found to be tedious because simulation languages which are in use today lack the proper modelling features for efficient simulation of JIT processes. We propose new language constructs to provide the required features. These are implemented as an extension of an existing simulation language (SIMAN). New constructs are based upon the kanban satisfaction paradigm which has been described in a previous paper. Details on the format of the new constructs are provided as well as an extensive description of the implementation. We also describe a framework for integrating the new constructs into the SIMAN language and making the numerous details, such as, satisfaction control, system initialization, and arrival sensing, transparent to the user.
