摘要：

The relationships between measures of social support, demographic and situational factors, and regimen compliance were examined among 60 in‐center hemodialysis patients. Data were obtained from structured interviews, self‐report questionnaires, and information from the medical records of each patient. Correlational analyses indicate that social support is significantly related to regimen compliance, as measured by potassium, phosphorus, and blood urea nitrogen (BUN). Contrary to prediction, this relationship disappears when the effects due to the demographic and situational factors are first removed from the regression equations.
