摘要
The infrared spectrum of liquid pentadeuterophenyltrichlorogermane has been recorded from 4000 to 33 cm-1. The Raman spectrum of the liquid has also been recorded and depolarization values have been measured. The phenyl vibrations have been assigned assuming C2v symmetry. All the spectra have been interpreted in detail, and the 39 fundamental vibrations have been assigned based on previous assignments of hexadeuterobenzene and monosubstituted pentadeuterobenzenes as well as expected band positions and depolarization values. By means of the Teller-Redlich product rule the assignments are shown to be consistent with those presented earlier for the hydrogen containing compound. © 1968.
