BETA+-GAMMA COINCIDENCE MEASUREMENTS IN DECAY OF 147GD

摘要
A radioactive source that contained Gd147 activity was used in a series of β+-γ (NaI) coincidence measurements. The end-point energy of the β+ component which feeds the 229-keV first excited state in Eu147 was measured to be 1077±25 keV, while its intensity was found to be (0.14±0.03)% of all Gd147 decays. The corresponding Gd147 electron-capture decay energy was used in closed-energy-cycle calculations to predict the Dy151 electron-capture energy (3001±35 keV) and the Gd147 α-decay energy (1847±60 keV). © 1969 The American Physical Society.
