摘要
Bulk dislocations in cubic and tetragonal BaTiO3 were analysed by TEM. Dislocations with Burgers vectors of the type b = a{100} lying along {010} directions are found in stoichiometric material whereas 72° dislocations are predominant in nonstoichiometric material. Stacking faults (extended compositional defects in this structure) are observed on {100} planes. Their role in (TiO2)-nonstoichiometry is discussed. The dislocation contrast is analysed by image matching for both the cubic and the piezoelectric tetragonal phase. The difference in strong-beam image contrast is so small that it would not be detectable experimentally.
