摘要
A recently developed model for the high temperature embrittlement of He-containing metals is applied to reactor conditions. The model is based on the nucleation and growth of grain boundary cavities under the influence of He and external stress. After a careful analysis of these processes, analytical expressions for the time to rupture as a function of stress, temperature, He content and material parameters are derived. It is found that the results for the in-pile case are substantially different from those obtained for post-irradiation creep tests. © 1979.
