摘要：

The Bahrain Surface Materials Resources Survey was carried out during 1974 to 1976 at the request of the Ministry of Development and Engineering Services, Government of Bahrain. This paper describes the State of Bahrain, its physical landscape, the surface materials resources, environmental degradation, hazards to construction and the implications of the survey results for regional planning and development. An outline of the brief, survey problems and methods is provided and the value of an interdisciplinary approach to surveys of natural resources is emphasized. -Authors
