摘要
The electrooxidation of D-glucose has been studied in alkaline medium on pure and modified noble metal electrodes. Analysis of the reaction products was carried out using ion exchange liquid chromatography. Glucaric and keto-2-gluconic acids were produced with relatively high yields. Reaction mechanisms for the electrooxidation of D-glucose were proposed and the D-glucose consumption was shown to follow a first-order reaction law. The results showed that the applied potential, the nature of the electrode as well as the nature of adatoms were determining parameters for the selectivity of the electrocatalytic oxidation Of D-glucose.
