摘要
We study the energy resolution of two compensating sandwich calorimeters using scintillators as readout material and lead and uranium as absorber, respectively. By employing the technique of the two interleaved calorimeters we extract the contribution of sampling and intrinsic fluctuations. We find that the energy resolution for hadrons is dominated by sampling fluctuations in both cases. © 1990.
