ANISOTROPY AND MASS ENCHANCEMENT OF CYCLOTRON EFFECTIVE MASS IN PT

Detailed and accurate measurements of the cyclotron effective masses for both s- and d-like carriers have been made in Pt. Comparison with recent augmented-plane-wave band-structure calculations indicate that the many-body mass enhancement factor is roughly isotropic with a value of about 1.5. © 1968 The American Physical Society.
