High-Tc (Tc(zero)\fallingdotseq100 K) Bi-system single crystala were grown by annealing the bulk sample, which was prepared by slow cooling the melt of Bi:Sr:Ca:Cu=4:3:3:4, at 870°C for 100 h in air. It was found from the magnetization measurement (SQUID) that these crystals were mixtures of a high-Tc phase and low-Tc ones (possibly intergrowth). © 1990 The Japan Society of Applied Physics.
