摘要
Kinetic analysis of induction of recA protein synthesis after U.V. irradiation does not show correspondence with the kinetics of division inhibition in lon+ and lon- strains, but there is correlation between induction and DNA repair activity. Protein X is stable and identical in both lon+ and lon- strains. When the induction of recA protein after U.V. is drastically reduced by rifampicin treatment, no effect on the kinetics of division inhibition is observed. © 1979 Springer-Verlag.
