摘要
The potentials and LUMO energies of the new two-stage redox systems 1 of inverse Wurster type are similar to those of TCNQ and DCN-QI. In contrast to TCNQ, however, these systems have an oxidized form with aromatic character and a reduced form with quinonoid character. Despite a different orbital symmetry, compounds 1 act as acceptors in conducting CT complexes (with tetrathiafulvalene, for example) and in radical ion salts.
