摘要
Progress in the developing a science base for the immobilisation of radioactive wastes in cements is reviewed. Both physical and chemical factors contribute to the immobilisation, with chemical factors becoming more important at longer ages. These factors are described, as are the impact of radiation, temperature, reaction with wastes and interaction with the near-field environment.
