摘要
We succeeded in the preparation of single crystals of HMT-HCTMC complex from neutral tris(dicyanomethylene)cyclopropane. The complex was found to consist of a mix-stacked structure with triplet donor HMT and symmetrical acceptor HCTMC molecules alternating along both the stacking c axis and the [120] direction in the ab plane. This structure along with a one-electron charge transfer between HMT and HCTMC makes it a good complex model for the study of Breslow's approach for organic ferromagnetism. As a result, the analysis of static magnetic susceptibility data of the HMT-HCTMC complex has not let to the realization of positive interspin interactions between D+ and A- radicals. The negative Weiss temperature-THETA of -14 K indicated that the intermolecular spin interactions in this complex are highly antiferromagnetic in nature.
