摘要
The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility between 110 and 369°K has been determined for a series of addition complexes formed from copper(II) chloride and various bidentate heterocyclic amines. In addition, anisotropic g values have been obtained at ambient and liquid-nitrogen temperatures for the same compounds. The 〈g〉 for each of the complexes studied can be represented by 〈g〉 = 2·13 ± 0·02 at both temperatures. The susceptibility-temperature data has been fitted to both a Curie-Weiss law and an equation that describes an infinite linear chain of Ising spins. The former fit produces values of the Weiss constant in the range +7 to -80°K while the latter fit indicated exchange interactions in the range 0-50 cm-1. A brief discussion of the results in terms of the Ising and Heisenberg models is included. © 1969.
