摘要
The salicylic acid content, formed from the decomposition of aspirin, was found to be an unreliable basis for judging the stability of aspirin tablets. Under conditions of accelerated stability testing, the loss of salicylic acid from the system by sublimation can incur appreciable errors in the direction of overestimating aspirin stability. Since aspirin was not detected to sublime under these same conditions, its residual content is an improved indication of its stability. A method for its simultaneous determination with salicylic acid is presented. Copyright © 1968 Wiley‐Liss, Inc., A Wiley Company
