THE TYPE-II SUPERSTRUCTURAL FAMILY IN THE BI2O3-V2O5 SYSTEM

摘要
Following the work on defect fluorite superstructures in the Bi2O3V2O5 system, the detailed structures of the type II family in this system have been investigated by high resolution electron microscopy. For compositions from 6Bi2O3V2O5 to 7Bi2O32V2O5, vanadium cations exist in the form of V4O10 tetrahedral clusters within the δ-Bi2O3 lattice. These clusters are ordered, but their arrangement is variable so that many triclinic superstructures exist. © 1990.
