STUDY OF 15O BY MEANS OF 3HE+12C REACTIONS

摘要
Angular distributions and excitation curves have been measured for the 12C(3He, 3He)12C, 12C(3He, α0)11C and 12C(3He, α1)11C reactions between E(3He) = 5.0 and 8.0 MeV in 100 keV steps. Strong resonance structures have been observed. An optical-model-plus-resonance (OMPR) analysis of the elastic scattering data indicates that a potential similar to that used at higher energies can describe much of our data if two resonances are introduced near 7 MeV and two between 4.5 and 6.0 MeV. A phase shift analysis of these data was also performed with results in accord with the OMPR analysis. A Legendre polynomial expansion was made of the α0 data. © 1969.
