摘要
An investigation is made of the wave functions of electrons in the periodic field of a binary alloy possessing a long-period superlattice structure. The additional periodicity of a superlattice arises from the regular arrangement of antiphase boundaries, which requires a treatment different from conventional perturbation theory. Formulae are given for the magnitude of the energy gaps which arise as a result of the occurrence of the superlattice structure.
