RESOLUTION ENHANCEMENT OF ANGLE-RESOLVED PHOTOEMISSION SPECTRUM (ARPES) BY THE MODIFIED FIRO METHOD

摘要
The finite impulse response operator (FIRO) method has further been improved to make the method applicable to the resolution enhancement of the overlapped band envelopes in more general Spectroscopy. In the present version the fast Fourier transformation (FFT) algorithm was introduced to the filter operation (convolution), which is the most time-consuming process in the deconvolution calculations. The new FIRO method was successfully applied to the resolution enhancement of the angle-resolved photoemission spectrum (ARPES) of Ag [111] surfaces to determine the peak positions of Ag4d bands. © 1990.
