摘要
High spin states in W178 have been studied using the Er170(C12,4n) reaction and -ray techniques. The yrast band in W178 has been identified to spin 18. At this spin the moment of inertia curve shows backbending. The systematics of backbending in the tungsten isotopes is discussed. NUCLEAR REACTION Er170(C12,4n), E=66 MeV; measured - coinc. E(): W178 deduced yrast levels; backbending systematics. © 1979 The American Physical Society.
