OXIDATION-INDUCED BREAKDOWN OF THE CONSERVATION OF PERPENDICULAR MOMENTUM IN THE ANGLE-RESOLVED PHOTOELECTRON-SPECTRA OF CU(111)

摘要
It is shown that changes in the angle-resolved spectra of a Cu(111) surface brought about by oxidation can be largely explained in terms of an increase in the breakdown of the conservation of the component of the momentum perpendicular to the surface in the photoionization matrix element of the wave function of the bulk. © 1979 The American Physical Society.
