摘要
Members of the sufS class of -1 frameshift suppressors have alterations of the GGA/G-decoding tRNA2Gly. Suppressor-promoted frameshifting at GGA was shown in this study to be directly mediated by the mutant tRNA2Gly. We disproved the possibility that, in the presence of the compromised mutant tRNA2Gly, either wild-type tRNA1Gly, wild-type tRNA3Gly, a GGA-reading mutant form of tRNA3Gly, or any other agent suppresses the frameshift mutation trpE91.
