摘要
The changes in some of the major cellular constituents of Anacystis nidulans (carbohydrate, protein, chlorophyll, RNA, DNA) during its synchronous growth were examined. A greater synthesis and accumulation of carbohydrates were observed during the low temperature phase (26°C), whereas the main increase in nitrogen and chlorophyll a occurred during the high temperature phase (32°C). The low temperature postponed the division cycle, but the DNA synthesis continued. The relationship between the cell division and DNA synthesis is discussed. © 1969 Springer-Verlag.
