TEST OF A LEAD-PLEXIPOP CALORIMETER MODULE VIEWED BY WAVELENGTH SHIFTER BARS

摘要
We report on the results obtained with a 2mm lead, 2 mm plexipop calorimeter module viewed by wavelength shifter bars. The resolution for electrons from 5 GeV up to 86 GeV is well described by the formula σ/μ = 0.13/√E. The charged hadron rejection is of the order of 10-3 at 9 GeV. The response of the calorimeter as a function of the impact point and incident angle is discussed together with the Cerenkov effects produced by particles crossing directly the wave length shifter bars. © 1979.
