摘要
This study discusses the problems of mass and heat transfer in metal hydride storage beds through the conduction bed model. Energy and mass equations were solved numerically in two dimensions by the use of the Alternating Direction Implicit method. A computer code was adapted and revised to deal with different geometries and flow regimes. The case of LaNi5H6 metal hydride, with water as working fluid, was treated and the results on temperature and composition distributions are provided and discussed.
