摘要
Potassium titanyl phosphate (KTP) and arsenate (KTA) have been prepared in aqueous medium by sol - gel process. These piezoelectric materials have been characterized by techniques such as thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy and second harmonic generation (SHG) of a 1.064 mum laser light. KTP and KTA, obtained by sol - gel way, crystallise and decompose, in the 500 - 600-degrees-C and 1150 - 1200-degrees-C ranges respectively. The SHG of KTA is 1.65 that of KTP.
