摘要：

Shorting currents from a theta-pinch plasma were measured by observing the azimuthal magnetic field, Bθ, outside the compression coil. The total current and the radial distribution of the current agree well with values predicted by a theoretical rigid-rotor model. © 1969 The American Physical Society.
