Electronic dephasing dynamics of HITCI in ethylene glycol are investigated by degenerate femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy. Pulse width and wavelength are varied to change the relative contributions of the coherent and population bleaching terms to the overall transient signal. Results from fitting the experimental data to a multi-mode Brownian oscillator model are presented. The data are also compared with photon-echo measurements.
