摘要
A salivary component which aggregated cells of Streptococcus sanguis strains NCTC 7864 and NCTC 7863 but not cells of Streptococcus mutans strains OMZ61, HS6, GS5, PK1 or LM7 was isolated from human whole saliva by DEAE-cellulose and gel permeation chromatography. The aggregating factor possessed all of the blood group A activity in the whole saliva sample and was devoid of IgA. Chemical analysis showed the fraction to be a high molecular weight sulphated glycoprotein containing 30 per cent protein, 52.3 per cent carbohydrate and 8 per cent ester sulphate. © 1979.
